DHENKANAL(Biranchi Narayan Seth) : District Administration is open for Postal department to work for people even in remote villages of the district . Postal department has more space to carry Government of India schemes and postal facilities which should touch all villages in the Dhenkanal district , told Collector Saroj Kumar Sethi on Tuesday evening.. He emphasized so on 50th Foundation Day of Dhenkanal Postal Division celebrated at Head post Office premises .
Addressing the gathering Collector & DM told we all should respect our tradition which Department of Post keeps on extending service at door step despite onset of advanced technology and science in changing times . He appreciated achievements of Dhenkanal postal Division in Suu Kanya Samrudhi Yojana, financial inclusion , Indian Postal Payment Bank [IPPB] , insurance at affordable price and related service. He offered postal department all achievements can be allowed on Bill board running in several places of the district .
Dhenkanal Postal Division Superintendent of Post offices Jagdish Dash disclosed the division has declared 493 villages as Suu Kanya Samrudhi Yoja villages , has opened one Lakh 34 thousand accounts under IPPB , online service, has been Aadhara enabled service worth Rs 82 crores , common service centres in 237 post offices , keep on issuing passport service , postal life service and welfare insurance scheme.
Postal Circle office asst director Balkrushna Kar and Circle office DDM PLI Sarbeswar Mishra spoke about achievements of Dhenkanal division and updated service of Department of Post in Digital age .
Chief speaker IIMC Regional Director Prof Mrinal Chatterjee spoke on credibility and credentials of department of Post , need for promotion of marketing of its products , visibility management .
Collector released a new Departmental calendar and a special cover on the occasion. Later chief guest distributed prizes and trophy for best performance on different sectors and competitions.
