Bank  Customers  Face  Challenges: No ATM for  Central bank customers in Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal(Biranchi Narayan Seth):   No ATM facility is available for  customers of Central Bank of India branch functioning in Dhenkanal district headquarters .  This poses major difficulties for transaction in daily life .

There is only one Central bank of India branch in Dhenkanal town. The branch is also only branch in the district but nine thousand customers have opened their accounts in the branch . The branch has issued ATM cards to customers but there is no ATM facility centre now  in the town nor any place of the district.

According to the branch sources  Regional office  has been  communicated frequently on grievances of  customers but  files remain pending .

One Mayadhar Sahoo, one of the bank customers , alleged yesterday  he got a new ATM card but could not activate  in any ATM of  other banks . One of the bank officials accompanied me and tried to activate  my card in SBI ATM but failed despite attempts . Same was tried at ICCI , IDBI but did not function , Mayadhar informed.  The bank officials admitted receipt of customers grievances in regular basis but helpless.
