DHENKANAL(BY B N SETH): Paddy procurement began at Rainarshingpur village Mandi in Kamakshyanagar on Monday . Collector Saroj kumar Sethi inaugurated the first day of paddy procurement . On the first day PACs [Primary Aghriculture Coooperative society] collected 352.87 quintals from farmers from the Mandi .
Collector enquired about paddy quality and weighing status there .Civil supply officer Nirod R Das informed administration has decided to procure paddy about 11,30,882 quintals from 49 358 farmers in the season from today. The paddy procurement was decided to be from 20 December and postponed to 27 Dec.
